Project Details

  • The domestic airport of Mumbai has two terminals namely terminal 1A & 1B.
  • Terminal 1A is a multi-storey structure housing the Basement, Departure, Arrival & Terrace at different levels. It also accommodates a canteen and Kingfisher office. It was constructed in late 90’s.
  • Terminal 1B is a G+2 storeys structure with part of it as G+3. It was constructed in two phases. The RCC structure was built in the period of 1964-67. The pre-engineering building (PEB) structure was built in the period of 2004-06.

  • This is a Thermal Power Plant of Government of Karnataka situated at Raichur.
  • Structwel was appointed to carry out Structural audit including Non-destructive testing of the Natural Draft Cooling Towers & Chimneys.
  • The Cooling Tower is 130 m tall with diameter of 118 m at plinth level, 90 m at top level and 70 m at neck level.
  • The chimney is 130 m tall with diameter of 9 m at bottom level and 4.5m at top level.

  • Vashi & Belapur stations are Railway stations cum commercial complexes situated on harbour railway line.
  • The total built up area of Vashi Complex is 83,237 sq. m accommodating 6 towers of G+7 storeys.
  • The total built up area of Belapur complex is 1,37,650 sq. m accommodating 10 towers of G+7 storeys.
  • Structwel’s services were hired for conducting Structural Audits of building structures and Condition Assessment of Electrical and Fire Fighting network along with 37 lifts.

  • The project covered around 17 km concrete roads falling in the blocks E, G, GN, G text of Banda Kurla Complex.
  • It also includes 5 bridges of the complex, which form important links to the city.
  • The roads were constructed in 2010.

  • Bhandup Complex is one of the largest water reservoirs in India and is MCGM’s important water treatment plant having allied structures in the compound including water storage and reservoirs.
  • It has two compartments of 62,000 sq. m each.
  • The assignment involved Structural Audits including Non-destructive testing and BOQ estimates of MBR (Middle Balancing Reservoir) having storage capacity of 286 MLD.

  • CIDCO ESR water tanks have a capacity of ESR 0.8 MLD.
  • The structures are 30.00 m tall. The shaft diameter of the tanks is 5.50 m and the thickness is 0.20m.
  • CIDCO engaged Structwel for carrying out Structural Audits including Non-destructive testing of 26 ESRs, 15 GSRs, 2 MBRs & 10 Pump Houses at Panvel & Kalamboli nodes at various locations.

  • Kolkata Metro, the first underground Mass Rapid transit rail network of India, was commissioned partly in October 1984 and finally in February, 1995.
  • Construction of tunnels was done with ‘Cut and Cover’ method.
  • The rail network from Dum Dum to Tollygunge is around 17 km with 17 stops.
  • Structwel was hired to conduct Condition Assessment along with Non-destructive Testing.
